VirtualBox is a a free and open-source hypervisor for x86 computers from Oracle corporation. VirtualBox can be installed on various host operating systems including Linux, Windows, Solaris and openSolaris.

To download VirtualBox 5.1 on your machine go to https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads and select the Windows host to download setup on your windows 10, windows 8 or windows 7 machine.
After downloading the setup file, run the file to open the dialog box for installation process.
Click Next to start the installation.
Where you want to install the VirtualBox? Select the location or keep the default settings as it is. To select the location click on Browse and keep selecting the path where you want it to be saved.
Create your icons as you like, select or deselect the listed options.
A warning appears while installation process stating that the network configuration needs to be reset. If you do not wish to reset the config then just click on the ‘NO’ option and forward to the later stages otherwise you can click ‘Yes’.
To proceed with the installation, click on Install and the installation will begin.
A security message will appear to request whether you are sure to continue with the new installation of an application. If you wish to continue just click on ‘Yes’. The installation doesn’t take more than a minute, so after the installation is completed the application will be launched.
